Report: 20 families lose homes in Las Piñas fire

MANILA, Philippines - At least 20 families lost their homes after a fire hit a residential area in Las Piñas City on Black Saturday. The fire started at 2:35 p.m. at a squatters' area on Pedro Savido Street in BF Resort Village at Talon 2 village. City fire marshal Chief Inspector Robert Pacis said the fire spread quickly to 11 houses, affecting some 20 families. Firefighters put out the blaze at 3:40 p.m., even as arson investigators estimated the damage to property at P100,000. - GMANews.TV
