Canadian found dead inside Makati condominium

MANILA, Philippines - A Canadian was found dead Tuesday with multiple gunshot wounds in his body inside his condominium unit in Makati City, police reports said. The victim was identified as Robert William Dublanko, 65, a resident of Robelle House in Valdez Street in Barangay Poblacion. Dublanko was last seen alive by his wife, Carolina, who told police investigators that she left her husband at about 1:10 a.m. Tuesday to buy food only to see him dead when she returned about an hour later. Investigating officer PO3 Jason David of the Makati Police Department’s Homicide Section said robbery could be the motive behind the killing since Canadian and Australian dollars amounting to more than P250,000 were found missing in the condominium unit. David said the victim might have caught and fought with the suspect, resulting to his killing. Recovered from the crime scene were two slugs and three empty shells of a .45 caliber pistol. Police are now checking the condominium’s log book to identify the suspect. - GMANews.TV
