ePLDT, Infosys in a deal for call center operations

ePLDT, Inc., the technology arm of telecom giant Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. (PLDT) said on Thursday its contact center company Ventus had inked an agreement with business process outspourcing (BPO) firm Infosys BPO Ltd. to enhance its call center operations. Infosys BPO is a subsidiary of Infosys Technologies, an Indian firm listed in Nasdaq. "The Ventus and Infosys agreement is a very strategic partnership that will enable both companies to reach additional markets and offer expanded services to customers," Ventus president Rose Montenegro said. Montenegro said the alliance will give US companies the best in Asian business process outsourcing operations. "By elevating additional internal functions that our clients currently handle, we're increasing their productivity and providing them with more cost-effective solutions." - GMANews.TV
