Fire hits bars near Ozone site in Quezon City

MANILA, Philippines – A fire of still undetermined cause hit a couple of bars near the corner of Tomas Morato and Timog Avenue in Quezon City shortly before midnight on Thursday, according to a report aired over radio dzBB. The fire, still raging as of this posting, has reached the third alarm. No casualties have so far been reported. Among the affected establishments are the Skylark bar and restaurant, which is beside a moneychanger next to the former Ozone Disco Club. On March 18, 1996, Ozone was hit by one of the worst fires in Philippine history, killing at least 160 and injuring at least 90 mostly young people. - GMANews.TV
