'Hayden cam' case: Belo explains no-show in Senate probe, links Hayden pals to scandal

MANILA, Philippines - Celebrity cosmetologist Vicki Belo submitted a two-paged affidavit before the Senate explaining why she couldn't come to the Thursday hearing. Belo, who is in an on-and-off relationship with Dr. Hayden Kho Jr., is in Europe for a vacation trip with her two children, Cristall and Quark, and is not expected to return to Manila until June 9, dzBB radio reported. In the affidavit handed out by her lawyer Adel Tamano, Belo said she did not authorize nor distribute the sex videos made by Kho. According to her, in December 2008 she asked two of Kho's friends, Erik Johnston Chua and Dr. Mark Herbert 'Bistek' Rosario to retrieve the contents of Kho's laptop. Belo wanted to delete sex videos she did with Kho when they were still together. Since Belo did not know much about computers, she asked the two to get the files through Kho's password-protected computer. On the evening of December 9, Chua returned to Belo's home with a DVD copy containing several other sex videos of Kho with other women. In her anger, Belo immediately destroyed the CD, the affidavit further said, denouncing claims that the celebrity doctor herself proliferated the videos. Tamano said it is beyond Belo's character top destroy a woman's reputation.
