Estrada: Ex-spokesman Tamano no big loss to opposition
MANILA, Philippines - Former President Joseph Estrada belittled Thursday the move of United Opposition spokesman Adel Tamano to the Nacionalista Party of Sen. Manuel Villar Jr. Estrada, in a radio interview, said Tamano is "spokesman lang (just a spokesman)" and did not occupy a key post in the United Opposition's executive committee. "Wala namang bagay sa opposition. Di naman opisyal si Mr. Adel Tamano, siya ay spokesman lang, di siya member ng executive committee (Mr. Tamano's no big loss to the opposition. He is just an official and not a part of the executive committee)," he said. Tamano, who had served as United Opposition spokesman, was to take his oath Thursday as a member of Villar's NP. Estrada said Tamano was not at the level of Makati City Mayor Jejomar Binay or former Sen. Ernesto Maceda, both executive committee members. "Di siya member ng executive committee, spokesman lang siya, di makakaano sa opposition yan (Tamano is not with the executive committee. He's just a spokesman and he will not affect the opposition)," he said. - GMANews.TV
