Showbiz personality Plinky Recto hurt in road mishap near UP

Showbiz personality Plinky Recto on Friday was hurt after the vehicle she was driving was hit by a ten-wheel truck near the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City. Police authorities from the Quezon City Police District were quoted on radio dzMM as saying the road mishap happened along C. P. Garcia Road before 1 p.m. Investigators said Recto, driving a Nissan Frontier Navarra (NHE 525), was bound for Katipunan Avenue when a dump truck (RHD 924) "lost its brakes" and hit the actress' car and several other vehicles on the road including a taxi. Asked how she was feeling, Recto said, "I'm getting okay. Buhay pa naman ako... pero medyo masakit." Police authorities requested Recto not to move or leave her seat to prevent her from aggravating her injury.
