Fire hits Mandaluyong shopping mall

Fire of still undetermined origin hit a shopping mall in Mandaluyong City Friday night, causing tension among shoppers in the area. No one was reported hurt in the fire that started at the basement of Rustan’s Department Store at the Shangri-La in Mandaluyong City at 10 p.m. Friday, radio dzRH reported early Saturday. Several shoppers were scared as thick smoke came out of the basement during the fire, which reached the third alarm before firefighters put it out.
