PRC: 336 pass customs brokers’ exam


The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Friday announced that 336 out of the 1,131 exam-takers passed the Customs Broker Licensure Exam given by its Board for Customs Brokers in three cities this month. Rizaida Parrilla of the Asian Institute of Maritime Studies, and Karin Mae Mercado and Ariane Joy Santiaguel of the Lyceum of the Philippines in Manila—topped the list of passers, all with scores of 89 percent. Other examinees that made it to the “Top 10" were: 2. Eleazar Rabanes of Lyceum Subic Bay, Inc. – 88.50 percent 3. Erwin Andaya of University of Cebu and Hershey Ilagan of the Batangas State University (Batangas SU) – 87.50 percent 4. Katryn Balmes of Batangas SU and Joel Lim of the Philippine Maritime Institute (PMI) in Quezon City – 87.25 percent 5. June Michael Canares of PMI-Manila and Aubrey Erika Gualberto of Batangas SU – 87 percent 6. Disabel Casimero and Norberto Enriquez Jr. of PMI-Manila – 86.75 percent 7. Sheila Angel of Central Luzon College of Science and Technology in Olongapo, Princess Tanya Atienza of the Lyceum of the Philippines University in Batangas, and Gracious Varquez the Philippine Merchant Marine School (PMMS) in Las Piñas – 86.50 percent 8. Angeline Sionson of the John B. Lacson Colleges Foundation in Iloilo City – 86.25 percent 9. Claire Ann Mojica of PMMS-Las Piñas amd Natanael Nanquil of the Subic Bay College, Inc. – 86 percent 10. Azelle Ann Caubalejo of the Southwestern Institute of Business and Technology and Michelle Ann Polancos – 85.75 percent Registration for the issuance of professional identification cards (IDs) and certificates of registration will start on November 8, while oath-taking ceremonies will be held at the Manila Hotel on November 28, according to the PRC.—Andreo C.
