2 killed, 3 hurt in Quezon City road accident

At least two people were killed while three were hurt after a drunk driver’s vehicle hit their car in Quezon City before dawn Saturday. Radio dzBB's Rodil Vega reported the incident occurred along K-7 Street in Kamias, Quezon City, with a Toyota Innova utility vehicle hitting a Toyota Revo. Killed on the spot was one Ella Fernandez. Another victim, initially identified as Hilaria Garcia, died while being treated at the East Avenue Medical Center, the report said. The injured were identified as Jelyn Bacod, Heidi Yumul, and Jeffrey Yumul, all passengers of the Revo. Police have taken into custody the Innova’s driver, identified as Ariel John Bayodalin, 23, who admitted he was drunk. Bayodalin faces charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide and multiple physical injuries and damage to property, the police said.
