Teen in Baguio high school shooting dies

The 15-year-old student shot by his classmate inside the Baguio Colleges Foundation High School Department passed away after laying comatose for over two days, GMANews.TV learned Monday. Patrick Kervin Custodio, a second year high school student, passed away at a hospital in the northern Philippine tourist destination of Baguio City. His parents are still stunned over the untimely loss of their beloved, even as law enforcers were now preparing homicide charges against the gunman. Custodio sustained a single gunshot wound to his head during the incident, which happened right inside a high school classroom at 2:30 p.m. last Wednesday. Baguio police officers said the firearm used was a .22-cal. señorita. Senior Superintendent Moises Guevarra, Baguio police director, said the gunman showed off the señorita to his classmates. However, the teenager accidentally pulled the trigger and hit Custodio. The police are also investigating how the gun was able to slip past the campus' private security personnel.-GMANews.TV
