The police have drawn up sketches of the three suspected killers of dzME radio anchor Marlina "Len" Sumera and a reward of P450,000 was put up for information leading to the suspects' arrest. The Northern Police District (NPD) said the composite illustrations of the criminals were based on the testimonies of witnesses, radio dzME reported on Monday. Sumera was gunned down near her house in Malabon City as she was preparing to go to dzME studios in Caloocan City to host a public service program. She was buried on Sunday. NPD Director Chief Superintendent Edgardo Ladao described the male gunman as:
20 to 21 years old; 5'2" to 5'3" tall; of medium build, and brown-skinned. The gunman was reportedly wearing a white T-shirt and cargo pants when he shot Sumera. He was also said to be carrying a shoulder bag. The male lookout was described as: 20 to 21 years old; about 5'2" to 5'3" tall, and of medium build. He was allegedly wearing a yellow T-shirt and cargo pants during the incident was toting a black backpack. A third male suspect was described as: 45 to 50 years old; 5â2" to 5â3" tall, and of medium build. He was reportedly wearing a white jacket and faded denim pants. But the dzME report said the NPD is still gathering leads on another lookout, a woman who supposedly told the gunman that Sumera was in the area. Ladao also said their initial investigation showed that a 9-mm pistol may have been used in killing Sumera because of the gunshot wound in the nape. Reward goes up to P450k Meanwhile, the reward for information leading to the solution of the crime went up to P450,000, a separate dzME report said. Malabon Rep. Josephine Veronique Lacson-Noel offered P250,000 as she said cases of violence, such as the killing of one of its residents, "are a hindrance to our campaign for a peaceful city and nation." "I hope this encourages witnesses to come forward with information and assist us in serving her family the justice they deserve," she said. Earlier, the Malabon local government offered P100,000 while the National Press Club and Alyansa ng Filipinong Mamamahayag offered P50,000. The NPD also offered another P50,000. â VVP, GMA News
