Starting Monday night, parts of Parañaque City may go waterless this week as water concessionaire Maynilad Water upgrades its pipe networks there. In a separate advisory, Maynilad also said parts of Valenzuela City and Bulacan will go waterless later this week due to a similar upgrading of facilities. Maynilad said the work at Parañaque will be from 8 p.m. Monday to 8 p.m. Tuesday, replacing old 900mm pipes along West Service Road from Bicutan to ACSIE. Areas that will experience the water interruption are:
West Service Road area (from Bicutan to Marcelo Ave.), Marcelo Green Village, San Antonio Valley 3, 5, 8 to 11, Jestra Homes, Buensuceso Homes (Marcelo Green Village Area), Remanville: Malacañang Dulo-GK, Annex 34, 36 & 38; Malacañang Village, Savio Homes, Jordan/Jamaica, Annex 37, Palm Grove, Japan Street in Better Living Subdivision, Don Bosco Village, Michael Rua St. in Better Living Subdivision, East Ferrer St. and Pleasure St. (from cor. Joyful St. to cor. Pleasure St. in BLS Annex in Parañaque On the other hand, Maynilad said it will upgrade its pipe network in Valenzuela by replacing defective butterfly valves along McArthur Highway corners Gov. Santiago, A. Pablo Malinta and A. Pablo Karuhatan in Valenzuela City later this week. It said water service in Valenzuela City may be affected between May 12 and 13 and will affect water distribution are: Barangay Marulas, Karuhatan, Gen. T. De Leon, Parada, Maysan, Malinta, Dalandanan, Rincon, Pasolo, Malanday, Coloong, Mabolo, Isla, Bisig, Tagalag, Poblacion, Polo, Palasan, Arkong Bato, Pariancillo Villa, Balangkas and Wawang Pulo in Valenzuela City; Meycauayan Water District and Obando Water District in Bulacan For both cases, Maynilad advised customers in these areas to store enough water for the duration of the service improvement project.
