Morales inspects 168 Mall in Binondo
Following the raid on a controversial mall located at the Filipino-Chinese community in Manila, customs commissioner Napoleon Morales on Saturday joined a team of customs officials and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) operatives in inspecting the 168 Mall in Binondo, Manila. Armed with a search warrant and 10 K-9 units, the raiding teams inspected the stalls inside the mall for undeclared taxable goods and illegal drugs, GMA-7's DZBB radio reported. Morales said tons of untaxed imported goods were confiscated by customs officials when they raided the mall on Friday. He said most of the imported goods being sold in the mall had no importation and customs documents - making the items illegal. The customs commissioner said he wanted to see the mall personally to asses the situation. Morales also said that many of the 168 Mall stall owners were illegal aliens.-GMANews.TV
