Abalos undergoes medical checkup
After spending his first night in detention in a small room, former Commission on Elections chairman Benjamin Abalos underwent a medical checkup at Southern Police District headquarters in Taguig City Wednesday.
Doctors checked Abalos' blood pressure, which was 120 over 80, according to a report on dzBB radio Wednesday noon.
But the report said doctors are also watching for signs of Abalos' ulcer acting up.
SPD spokesperson Chief Inspector Jenny Tecson also visited Abalos and reassured him the security at SPD headquarters was tight.
On Tuesday, Abalos surrendered to the Pasay City court after it ordered his arrest on charges of electoral sabotage.
He was brought to the Pasay City police headquarters to have his mug shots and fingerprints taken before he was brought to SPD headquarters. — RSJ, GMA News
