NAIA runway repairs prompt PAL to adjust flight schedules

Repairs at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport's runway have prompted flag carrier Philippine Airlines to adjust the schedules of at least 13 of its flights. In a news release Saturday, PAL said it is revising the flight schedule of one domestic and 12 international flights due to the repairs. "With the closure of NAIA runway 06-24 from 12:30 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. starting January 10 up to August 2012, one domestic and 12 international PAL flights either departing from or arriving at the NAIA will be adjusted accordingly," it said. The revised schedules are:

• PR752 and 753 (Manila-Bangkok-Delhi and vice–versa January 10, 12 and 14): Manila to Bangkok 5:30 a.m., Bangkok to Delhi 8:30 a.m., Delhi to Bangkok 12:35 p.m., Bangkok to Manila 7:15 p.m., (arriving in Manila 11:40 p.m.);
• PR732 and 733 (Manila-Bangkok-Manila daily): Manila to Bangkok 9:30 p.m., Bangkok to Manila 1:35 a.m. (arriving Manila 5:55 a.m.);
• PR505 and 506 (Manila-Singapore-Manila daily): Manila to Singapore 9:20 p.m., Singapore to Manila 2:00 a.m. (arriving Manila 5:35 a.m.);
• PR113 (Los Angeles-Guam-Manila on Wednesdays and Sundays): LA to Guam 8:15 p.m., Guam to Manila 4:00 a.m. (arriving Manila 5:30 a.m.);
• PR466 and 467 (Manila-Incheon, South Korea, daily): Manila to Incheon 12:25 a.m., Incheon to Manila 8:10 a.m. (arriving Manila 11:20 a.m.);
• PR212 (Melbourne to Manila, Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays): 12:30 a.m. (arriving Manila 5:30 a.m.);
• PR107 and 117 (Vancouver to Manila daily): Vancouver to Manila 10:55 p.m. (arriving Manila 5:30 a.m.);
• PR843 (Manila to Cebu, Tuesdays): 5:30 a.m.

All other PAL flights will follow the old published schedule. "Certain flights departing from San Francisco and Los Angeles may experience some delays depending on wind conditions and the revised Manila airport schedule," PAL said. PAL also advised US passengers bound for Manila to check in at least two hours prior to their published departure time.
