That ad about sun tanning in Switzerland

GMA News wrote Vintage Paper Ads, the web site where the ad was found for the 1951 tourism campaign, "It's more fun in Switzerland!" We asked about the origin of the ad. Tom Marcais of Vintage Paper Ads responds:  It was actually part of a series of ads run by the Swiss National Tourist Office in at least three different National Geographic Magazines from 1951. Two additional advertisements that used the same slogan are: http://store.vintagepaperads.com/servlet/-strse-36617/1951-Switzerland-Tourism-Ad/Detail http://store.vintagepaperads.com/servlet/-strse-36618/1951-Switzerland-Tourism-Ad/Detail This helps to clarify that the phrase was actually intended as a slogan, and not just a one-time heading. It also discredits Tourism Secretray Ramon Jimenez's tweet: "This Switzerland coincidence only makes our line truer. Sun Tanning IS more fun in the Philippines.", since the other two ads do not feature sunbathing activities. I just thought you might find this additional information to be useful. Thank you for citing my site in your coverage. I've been receiving a great increase in web traffic! Sincerely,
