CebuPac cancels Manila-Butuan-Manila flights due to bad weather

Citing bad weather conditions, air carrier Cebu Pacific on Wednesday canceled at least two flights between Manila and a destination in Mindanao. In a post on its Twitter account Wednesday morning, Cebu Pacific said it had to cancel 5J-785 and 5J-786 "due to bad weather." Flight 5J-785 is from Manila to Butuan, while 5J-786 is from Butuan to Manila. "Affected passengers will be accommodated on the next available flights. You may also rebook within 30 days of cancellation or Travel Fund without penalties," Cebu Pacific said. "We always place top priority in your safety; thank you for your understanding," it added. Earlier, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration warned of rain in the next four days. PAGASA forecaster Elvie Enriquez said a potential cyclone – an active low-pressure area – is likely to bring rain particularly to Visayas and Mindanao. — LBG, GMA News
