Civil Engineer exams: DLSU lands 3, Mapua takes 5 in topnotchers’ roster


Three alumni of De La Salle University (DLSU) and five from  the Mapua Institute of Technology—earned topnotcher honors in the May 2012 civil engineer licensure examinations, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) said Thursday night. The PRC said "1,130 out of 3,317 passed the Civil Engineer Licensure Examination given by the Board of Civil Engineering in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo and Legazpi this May 2012." That result makes for a passing rate of 34.07 percent for this batch of examinees.   Xavier Sy Lim of DLSU-Manila was first among the topnotchers with a rating of 95.20 percent. A full percentage point behind him is Elspeth May Estrada Cruz of Mapua-Manila at 94.20 percent.   At third place was Jake Bonn Collantes Dumpasan from Central Mindanao University. His rating was 93.60 percent.   Here is the topnotchers’ roster as ranked by the PRC:
