NAIA security guards in Tulfo-Raymart-Claudine brawl suspended

The six security guards on duty last Sunday at the baggage area of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 have been suspended for failing to diffuse the brawl involving columnist Ramon Tulfo, actor Raymart Santiago and actress Claudine Barretto.   The commotion started when Santiago saw Tulfo taking pictures of his wife, Claudine Barretto, who was agitated over the offloading of their baggage from the Cebu Pacific they disembarked from.   In a radio report by dzBB’s Manny Vargas, the Philippine National Police (PNP) investigation of the incident resulted in the five-day suspension of each of the guards.    The PNP Supervisory Office for Security and Investigation Agencies (PNP-SOSIA) said the guards will undergo a mandatory refresher course.   PNP-SOSIA noted that the guards hesitated and were unable to promptly  separate Tulfo and Santiago during their brawl.   The Lanting Security Agency—employer of the security guards—was fined P30,000 for failure to file an incident report about the scuffle. — ELR, GMA News
