Amid a cacophony of quotes, a senator-judge cries 'Wha!'
"I no longer know what universe I am in," was Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago's hyperbolic reaction to the prosecution at one point during the Corona trial, now winding down to its final days when the chief justice himself will testify. It was just one of the theatrical senator's many colorful quotes over the last four months of nationally televised hearings, perhaps prompting more than a few viewers to wonder if they too had gotten lost in another cosmos. GMA News has curated the proceedings from 39 trial days and come up with the following completely subjective list of 20 most memorable quotes from senators, lawyers and witnesses, varying in significance from possible turning points to simply ticklish points. The quotes were chosen from those only publicly uttered inside the courtroom. 
1. “Ang yayabang na magsabi ng ganyan, mga g*go naman! Wha!” – Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago’s reaction after the prosecution dropped five of its eight articles of impeachment. 2. “Masama po pagkagawa ng complaint.” – Ilocos Norte Rep. Rudy Farinas’ reply after denying that he himself had signed the impeachment complaint. 3. “This is a burden to the nation.” – Senate Presiding Officer Juan Ponce Enrile to defense lawyer Judd Roy, appealing to the defense to present Chief Justice Renato Corona to save time. 4. “Duty my foot!” – Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago reacting to the prosecution’s claim that it was their duty to present to the Senate anonymously sourced documents on Chief Justice Renato Corona’s dollar accounts. 5. “Mahirap paniwalaan script n’yo. Walang small lady sa CCTV.” – Sen. Jinggoy Estrada to the prosecution panel after Rep. Rey Umali claimed that a “small lady” gave him the alleged bank documents of Chief Justice Renato Corona while he was in the Senate building. 
6. “Do you want me to lecture you more?” – Senate Presiding Officer Juan Ponce Enrile to lead prosecutor Rep. Niel Tupas, Jr. on what evidence can be accepted under Article 3 of the impeachment complaint. 7. "They're not anymore sympathetic to us. It's an uphill climb for us. We'll seek divine guidance." - lead defense counsel Justice Serafin Cuevas' subdued comment at the resumption of the trial after a month-long break. The defense panel would soon announce that Corona himself would "bare all" in his own testimony. 8. “I felt like creeping back to bed and adopting a fetal position. I no longer know what universe I am in.” – Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago’s reaction to the dropping of five out of eight articles of impeachment by the prosecution.

Joker Arroyo after Sen. Franklin Drilon asked the Senate to cite in contempt PSBank President Pascual Garcia III who he refused to bring the records of the alleged dollar accounts of Corona. 
13. “Sa kagustuhan nating hulihin ang daga, wala naman tayong lisensiyang sunugin ang buong bahay.” – Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero after he voted with the majority of the senators to respect the TRO by the Supreme Court on the alleged dollar accounts of Chief Justice Corona.
