Pasig PNP: Another suspect arrested in Tribune reporter assault case

Another suspect in the attack on a reporter of The Daily Tribune newspaper in Pasig City last March has been arrested, a radio report said Monday.

 

Pasig City police head Superintendent Alfredo Calamaan identified the suspect as Jun Hassan Amber a.k.a. Junior Praning, radio dzBB reported.

 

Calamaan was quoted in the report as saying Amber was linked to the mauling and shooting of Fernan Angeles, the Tribune's reporter covering the Malacañang beat last March 11.

 

The report also said Angeles identified Amber as among those who attacked him last March 11.

 

Amber, who also faces at least two other cases involving murder and drugs, was arrested after getting involved in a commotion in Pinagbuhatan village, the dzBB report said.

 

Other suspects arrested earlier included Quirino Turingan a.k.a. Payat, and Junior Andang a.k.a. Junior Buang. — ELR, GMA News
