UST tops PRC electrical engineers' licensure examinations


The Professional Regulation Commission revealed last Thursday that 1,569 out of 2,947 or 53.25 percent passed the licensure examinations for registered electrical engineers.   With a passing rate of 87.50 percent, the University of Santo Tomas emerged as the only higher education institution with a success rate of at least 80 percent for fielding at least 50 examinees. UST had 56 graduates who passed the exams. The university fielded 64 examinees. In terms of individual performance, UST, Bicol University in Legazpi and the University of the Philippine – Diliman each had two examinees in the top ten.

  The PRC also said that 664 out of 1,876 passed the examinations for registered master electricians.   The Camarines Norte State College in Daet had a passing rate of 95.28 percent as 20 of its 21 examinees passed. — ELR, GMA News
