NAIA: Bad weather in South Korea forces PAL to cancel two MNL-Incheon flights
At least two international flights between Manila and South Korea were canceled on Monday due to bad weather conditions in South Korea.
The Ninoy Aquino International Airport said the two flights were Philippine Airlines flights between Manila and Incheon, radio dzBB's Sam Nielsen reported.
Citing information from NAIA, the report said the canceled flights included PAL flight PR-464, scheduled to leave NAIA-2 at 6:55 a.m., and return flight PR-465 scheduled to arrive at NAIA at 4:10 p.m.
Earlier Monday, PAGASA forecaster Elvie Enriquez said annular typhoon Sanba (Karen in the Philippines) had exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility last weekend but brought bad weather conditions to the north.
"Sa kasalukuyan patungo ito sa Korea, doon siya mananalasa (As of Monday, it is heading for Korea and is expected to cause bad weather there)," Enriquez said in an interview on dzBB.
She said Sanba had already passed by Taiwan and Southern Japan as well. — ELR, GMA News
