Lone survivor of Robredo plane crash attends CAAP investigation
The lone survivor of the plane crash that took the life of Interior Secretary Jesse Robredo attended the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines' investigation into the incident on Monday. The survivor, Robredo's aide-de-camp June Abrazado, also testified at the CAAP probe for the first time, investigation head Capt. Amado Soliman told GMA News Online on Monday via phone interview. Soliman said that during the two-hour interrogation, Abrazado's uncle and lawyer was with him. He added that the CAAP investigation panel may not recall Abrazado as he earlier filed a written testimony recounting his experience. “I have one month to finish the investigation,” Soliman noted. Robredo was en route to Naga City when his chartered Piper Seneca plane crashed off the Masbate coast on August 18. The plane’s pilot, Capt. Jessup Bahinting, and Nepalese co-pilot Kshitiz Chand also died. — BM, GMA News
