Kin wear white as slain model's remains brought to Parañaque

Accompanied by relatives and friends wearing white outfits, the remains of murdered model and TV talent Julie Ann Rodelas were moved from her home in Las Piñas City to a church in Parañaque City early on Saturday.

Representatives from the Quezon City police and an anti-crime group joined the kin in accompanying the remains from her home to the Mary Queen of Apostles parish church, radio dzBB's Allan Gatus reported.

A Mass was scheduled to be held at the parish church Parañaque City before the remains of Rodelas, 20, are brought to the Golden Haven memorial park in Las Piñas City.

Rodelas was shot dead in Quezon City last Nov. 6. The police have already arrested suspected masterminds Althea Altamirano and Fernando Quiambao Jr.

Earlier, police filed charges against Altamirano and Quiambao for murder. Assistant City Prosecutor Alessandro Jurado included "suspect-turned-witness" Jaymar Waradji in the charges.

The investigation had showed that Altamirano wanted to have Quiambao help her teach Rodelas a lesson, supposedly because Rodelas spread rumors that Altamirano already had two children.

The police are also preparing rape charges against some of the suspects. - VVP, GMA News
