DOTC: Bad weather in China forces PHL-bound flight cancellation
Bad weather conditions in China forced the cancellation of at least one flight from China to Manila, the Department of Transportation and Communications said Thursday evening.
In a post on its Twitter account, the DOTC said the affected flight was that of China Southern Airlines, from Beijing to Manila via Xiamen.
"Cancelled flight due to bad weather in China: CZ-377 Beijing-Xiamen-MNL," it said.
Bad weather conditions threatened parts of China as Typhoon Cimaron was forecast to land in China's southeast part.
Cimaron is the international name of Isang, which was still a tropical storm when it exited the Philippine area of responsibility.
A report on China's Xinhuanet.com said Typhoon Cimaron was expected to hit southeast China Thursday evening.
Xinhuanet said Cimaron was expected to make landfall near Zhangpu County in Fujian Province. — BM, GMA News
