Walang Pasok: NCR, Luzon areas suspend classes due to Typhoon Labuyo


(Updated 12:42 p.m.) Local governments, schools, and universities suspended Monday classes due to Typhoon Labuyo.

Here is a list compiled by GMA News Online:

Caloocan - classes up to the high school level in public and private schools are suspended

Las Piñas City - suspended at the elementary to high school levels

Makati City - elementary and high school levels, in public and private schools.

Malabon - classes up to the high school level in public and private schools are suspended

Mandaluyong City - public and private elementary and high schools

Manila - all levels in public and private schools as of 10 a.m.

Marikina - classes up to the high school level in public and private schools are suspended

Muntinlupa City - classes up to high school are suspended

Navotas City - suspended in all public elementary and high schools.

Parañaque - classes are suspended from preschool to high school levels, public and private.

Pasay - all levels, both private and public, are suspended

Pasig City - suspended in elementary and high school levels in public and private schools

Pateros - all levels,  public and private schools

Quezon City - all levels are suspended in public and private schools

San Juan City - all levels from preschool to college in all public and private schools.

Taguig City - classes are suspended in all day care and elementary schools

Valenzuela City - the city government said there would be no classes for daycare and preschool citywide on Monday. However, it said classes will be suspended in the elementary and high school levels in public and private schools, only in some flood-prone barangays, including Wawang Pulo, Balangkas, Pariancillo Villa, Palasan, Arkong Bato, Polo, Poblacion, Tagalag, Bisig, Isla, Rincon, Pasolo, Mabolo, Malanday, Dalandanan, Coloong and Malinta.

As of 10 a.m. Monday, Metro Manila was one of the areas under Storm Signal No. 1 due to Labuyo.

Earlier Monday, state weather bureau PAGASA placed 15 areas under Storm Signal No. 3.

Abra -  elementary to high school, public and private

Angeles, Pampanga - preschool to high school in both public and private schools

Angono, Rizal - preschool to high school in both public and private schools

Baras, Rizal - preschool to high school, public and private

Batangas province - preschool to elementary classes suspended

Bulacan - from preschool, elementary and high school in both public and private schools for the whole province are suspended

Cavite -  in all levels in the whole province

Cainta, Rizal - from preschool to high school, both public and private

Dagupan City - preschool to high school in both public and private schools

Laguna - all levels in both public and private schools

Morong, Rizal - preschool to high school, public and private

Obando, Bulacan - classes in all levels suspended

Pangasinan - all levels

Rodriguez, Rizal - preschool to high school, public and private

San Mateo, Rizal - suspended in all levels, both private and public schools

Tagaytay City - preschool to elementary levels, public and private

Tanay, Rizal - preschool to high school in both public and private schools

Taytay, Rizal - preschool to high school, public and private

Schools and universities

Adamson University - work, classes all levels

Ateneo de Manila: Classes are suspended in grade school, high school, and college levels. Work in all offices at the Loyola Heights campus is suspended, too. At the Ateneo Law School, classes are also suspended except for pre-bar review class. Classes will go on at Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health.

Baliuag University - classes in all levels and office work

Bulacan State University - classes are suspended except for the College of Law

Centro Escolar University Manila - classes are suspended starting 12 noon

De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde - office operations and classes suspended

De La Salle University - work and classes in all levels suspended

Dominican School of Manila - all levels

EARIST (Eulogio "Amang" Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology) - classes are suspended

Emilio Aguinaldo College, Manila and Cavite campuses - classes in all levels and office work. Staff with necessary meetings are advised to check with their respective departments. 

Far Eastern University Manila - classes are suspended starting 11 a.m.

Grace Christian College Foundation, Taguig -  all levels

Gov. Andres Pascual College - all levels

HSL Braille Colleg, Taguig - all levels, morning and afternoon session

Manila Tytana Colleges - classes suspended

Miriam College - office work and classes in all levels suspended

National Teachers College - all levels

National University - all levels suspended

Perpetual Help College of Manila - all levels

Philippine Christian University - all levels

Philippine College of Criminology-Manila Law College - work, high school and college classes suspended

Philippine Women's University - classes in all levels and work in PWU Manila, PWU HS and JASMS Indiana

Polytechnic University of the Philippines - Metro Manila campuses (PUP Laboratory High School, Manila, San Juan, Taguig, Parañaque & QC)

San Beda College Alabang - preschool to high school

San Beda College Manila - classes are suspended from 12 noon onward 

San Sebastian College - high school classes suspended

Southville International School and Colleges Las Piñas - preschool to high school

St. Jude College, Manila - elementary to college suspended

St. Paul University, Manila and Quezon City campuses - all levels suspended

St. Scholastica's College Manila - classes are suspended effective 10:30 a.m.

Sto. Niño Catholic School, Taguig - all levels

Technological University of the Philippines - Manila: classes and work for teachers are suspended in all courses. Regular work day for faculty with admin.

University of Caloocan - classes in all levels as well as office work 

University of the East - preschool and elementary classes in its Manila and Caloocan City campuses are suspended.

University of Makati - high school classes suspended

University of the Philippines, Diliman - all levels
 
University of the Philippines, Los Baños - all levels

University of the Philippines, Manila - office work and classes suspended

University of Santo Tomas - all levels

Meanwhile, the Department of Education's guidelines on the suspension of classes are:

- Signal No. 1: No classes in kindergarten
- Signal No. 2: No classes in elementary and high school
- Signal No. 3: No classes in all levels including college
