UP Manila, PLM, Ateneo Pasig, Cebu Institute score 100% to top medical board exam
Four medical colleges posted 100 percent passing rates in the latest physician licensure examinations, the Professional Regulation Commission said on Tuesday.
The schools that saw all their examinees pass are the University of the Philippines – Manila, the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, the Cebu Institute of Medicine, and the Ateneo de Manila University School of Medicine and Public Health in Pasig City.
UP Manila had the most examinees at 149, while PLM had 97 successful exam takers. The Ateneo fielded 84 and the Cebu Institute of Medicine had 79 examinees.
The Cebu Institute of Medicine and Ateneo – Pasig have two of their alumni in the “top ten” while five slots are with alumni of UP Manila.
The University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center occupies on top notch slot.
The PRC said a total of eight medical colleges fielded 50 or more examinees while earning at least 80 percent passing rate.
Among the top eight schools are UERMMC, West Visayas State University – La Paz, Far Eastern University – Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation, Saint Louis University, Davao Medical School Foundation and the De La Salle Health Sciences Institute. — ELR, GMA News
