UP, DLSU, MSU, UST among top schools in Oct. 2013 CPA exam
The results of the October 2013 certified public accountant (CPA) licensure examination show that the University of the Philippines – Diliman, De La Salle University, Mindanao State University, and University of Santo Tomas posted the highest passing rates among schools that had more than 50 examinees.
The Professional Regulation Commission said in examination results emailed to news organizations that UP Diliman had a nearly perfect passing rate as 83 of its 84 examinees passed to give their alma mater a 98.81 percent mark.

The DLSU Taft campus in Manila posted a passing percentage of 92.86 as 52 of its 56 examinees hurdled the exam.
MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology got a 90 percent passing rate as 45 of its 50 examinees passed.
The University of Santo Tomas saw 329 of its 367 examinees pass (89.65 percent).
The Bicol University in Daraga, Albay posted a passing percentage of 85.94 as 55 of its 64 examinees met success.

A closer look at the examination results also revealed that the school that had the most number of examinees was the Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Sta. Mesa at 782 takers and 377 of them passed to give their alma mater a 48.21 percent passing performance.

The Philippine School of Business Administration, which has an ongoing boardroom legal battle among directors, has two campuses. The Quezon City campus had 54 examinees passing out of 297 takers (18.18 percent passing rate) while the Manila campus saw 39 pass out of 137 examinees (28.47 percent passing rate).
Saint Louis University in Baguio posted a 57.81 percent passing rate as 111 of its 192 examinees hurdled the examination.
Far Eastern University – Manila saw 90 out of its 147 examinees pass (61.22 percent) while the University of the East – Manila saw 70 of its 109 examinees pass (64.22 percent).

First time examinees totaled 7,839 while repeaters numbered 2,557. Among the repeaters, 641 passed while among the first timers, 3,708 passed. — ELR, GMA News

The PRC said 398 colleges and universities with Accountancy programs had a total of 10,396 examinees.
Those who passed numbered 4,246 while those who failed were 5,416 and 734 were given "conditional" status.
