A total of 202 out of 292 passed the Interior Design Licensure Examination given this month, according to an amended list sent by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Thursday.
In a resolution, the PRC said the Board Licensure Examination for Interior Designers has resolved to use the 70 percent passing rate in accordance with Republic Act No. 10350 instead of the previous 75 percent in checking and rating the October 2013 examination.

RA No. 10350, otherwise known as the Philippine Interior Designer Act of 2012, provides that a candidate must obtain a weighted general average of not less than 70 percent to be qualified as having passed the said examination.
“WHEREAS, if the weighted general average used in the checking and rating of the October 2013 Board Licensure Exam for Interior Designers is seventy percentum (70%), thirty-eight (38) more examinees will be added to the original list of successful examinees in said licensure examination,” the resolution, dated Oct. 31, 2013, said.
The PRC said registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be on November 7 and 8, 2013.
The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony, however, will be announced later, the PRC said. — KBK, GMA News
