PRC: 326 of 790 pass respiratory therapy licensure exams
Less than half or 326 of 790 examinees passed the respiratory therapist licensure examination given by the Board of Respiratory Therapy last month, according to the results released by the Professional Regulation Commission on Tuesday.
The topnotcher was Roderick M. Tumanguil of Emilio Aguinaldo College-Manila, with a grade of 85.75. He is followed in joint second place by Rinaliza P. Bogsulen of Pines City College, Charmaine A. Lingdas of Emilio Aguinaldo College-Manila, and Abigail V. Soroño of Cebu Doctors' University, all with a passing grade of 84.00.
Cebu Doctors' University was the best-performing school among those with 30 or more examinees, with a passing rate of 83.78 percent, or 31 successful examinees out of 37.
In its statement, the PRC also noted that registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be on Nov. 14 and 15.
"Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), 1 piece passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag), 2 sets of metered documentary stamps and 1 short brown envelope with name and profession and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2013-2016. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
"The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination will be announced later," it said.
