‘Pogi’, ‘Tanda’, ‘Sexy’ resurface in document on DAP deals

The codenames “Pogi,” “Tanda” and “Sexy”, first heard in the investigation into the alleged misuse of money from the Priority Development Assistance Fund, have resurfaced in a document that has been submitted to the National Bureau of Investigation.

According to a report on GMA's “24-Oras” Friday evening, the document is from the records of whistleblower Mary Arlene Baltazar, a former employee of JLN Corp. of detained businesswoman Janet Lim-Napoles.

The document supposedly details how P500 million from the Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP) was allocated by lawmakers, identified only by the codenames, into bogus non-government organizations linked to Napoles.

"Pogi" and "Tanda" both allocated P 100 million each while "Sexy"—“Sexy protemp” in the document—funneled P150 million.

Pogi, Tanda and Sexy were said to be Senators Bong Revilla Jr., Juan Ponce Enrile and Jinggoy Estrada respectively, based on whistleblower Benhur Luy's earlier testimony.

The lawmakers have repeatedly denied involvement in the scam, as has Napoles, who has been tagged as the supposed mastermind.

Meanwhile, new codenames such as “Bongets,” “Bigote,” “Dahon” and “AAK” were also identified in the document called “2012 projects implemented per foundation.”

"Bongets", "Bigote", "Dahon" and "AAK" supposedly allocated P100 million, P55 million, P50 million and P12 million respectively, the report said.

At a senate hearing on Thursday, Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago asked Ruby Tuason, the most recent witness in the case, if she knew who these new codenames were referring to.

“Codenames. Dahon for Loren Legarda. Bigote for Vicente Sotto. Bongets for Senator Marcos... Meron ka bang alam maliban sa Tanda, Sexy, Pogi, Dahon, Bigote, Bongets?” Santiago asked.

But Tuason said she only knew "Tanda", "Sexy", and "Pogi" as she dealt with them personally.

Last September, Estrada raised the issue of the DAP in a privilege speech. He said senator-judges who voted to convict former chief justice Renato Corona at his impeachment trial were given P50 million each later in the year.

Malacañang denied this and clarified that there is nothing wrong with DAP. The Palace added projects funded by DAP helped boost the economy.
