Enrile dared to file raps vs. ex-aide Gigi Reyes
By ANDREO CALONZO, GMA News
(Updated 3:58 p.m.) File charges against your former chief oif staff.
This was the challenge hurled Tuesday by Senator Alan Peter Cayetano to Senate Minority Leader Juan Ponce Enrile to prove that the latter did not authorize Jessica "Gigi" Reyes to handle pork barrel allocations on Enrile's behalf.
Enrile is one of three senators implicated in the alleged P10-billion pork barrel scam, the others being Senators Jinggoy Estrada and Bong Revilla Jr.
“Bakit hindi pa kinakasuhan ni Sen. Enrile ‘yung mga empleyado niya? If I found out na may kalokohan sa opisina ko, I have two choices lang: I fire them and file a case or i-coddle ko sila at itago,” Cayetano said in a statement.

Cayetano, who has been at odds with Enrile since last year, added that it is only a "natural course of action" for a senator to file charges against erring members of his or her staff.
Cayetano issued this challenge days after potential state witness Ruby Tuason admitted to personally delivering kickbacks from the pork barrel scam to Reyes and to Estrada.
During a Senate blue ribbon committee hearing last Thursday, Tuason said Enrile was sometimes present when she handed the money to Reyes, but denied directly discussing pork barrel transactions with Enrile.

Last week, Enrile said he never authorized Reyes, who resigned last year as his chief-of-staff at the height of accusations that she had power over Senate matters, to discuss pork barrel transactions with Tuason on his behalf.
But Cayetano said documents supposedly signed by Enrile showed that the Senate minority leader allowed Reyes and another member of his staff, Jose Evangelista, to handle pork barrel transactions.
At the last Senate blue ribbon committee hearing, Cayetano read a letter issued by Enrile's office to the Commission on Audit in March 2012, where the Senate minority leader supposedly authorized both Reyes and Evangelista to sign documents related to the release of his pork barrel funds.
Enrile was Senate President in March 2012.
Over the weekend, Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago, another stauch critic of Enrile, said Enrile's mere presence in meetings between Tuason and Reyes proves his involvement in the conspiracy to pocket government funds. — Andreo Calonzo/RSJ, GMA News
