JPE not ‘stupid’ to get involved in pork barrel scam – Cristina Enrile

As far as Cristina Castañer-Enrile is concerned, her husband, Senate Minority Leader Juan Ponce-Enrile, is not "stupid" enough to get himself involved in something like the P10-billion pork barrel scam.

“I don't believe it. I don't think that Johnny is that stupid,” Cristina told Winnie Monsod in an exclusive interview for GMA News' current affairs program “Bawal ang Pasaway,” which will be aired Monday night.

The Enrile couple have been married for 56 years and have two children, Juan Jr. and Katrina.

During the interview, Cristina also talked about Enrile's supposed womanizing habit, admitting she had wanted to get a divorce from him because of his alleged affair.

“It's useless for me to always stay in our house and always have that anxiety. Alam mo yung masama ang loob mo parati,” Cristina said, confirming that she went to the United States to file a divorce.

Cristina said she has been aware of her husband's extramarital activities for years.

“After about six months after my first child,” Cristina replied when asked by Monsod on when her husband's alleged infidelity started.

Cristina even recounted how she stormed to the house of one of Enrile's supposed women. “So I went to the house. I kicked the door. I kicked the door. And I kicked the door. And then I shot the door. And then I left," she said.

“After I left the house, I went to his office and wrecked everything,” Cristina added.
