Sonia Roco, Coseteng not dropping bids - GO

The Genuine Opposition (GO) denied Monday reports that some of its senatorial bets are thinking of pulling out from the senatorial race. In a statement posted on the GO website (www.genuineopposition.com), GO spokesman Adel Tamano scored as a "deplorable attempt at disinformation" reports that Sonia Roco and Anna Dominique Coseteng are planning to drop out of the race. "I have spoken to Mr Benjie Africa, the campaign manager of Sonia Roco, and Senator Coseteng herself and they have categorically denied these news items which appeared in two local newspapers – specifically Malaya and People's Journal– of their supposed plans to pull out," he said. He said the GO is now "tracing" the source of "this deplorable attempt at disinformation and pre-election cheating strategy." "News of this type, without first getting the side of the candidates themselves are damaging and so we urge the news outfits concerned to publish our reply to this issue with equal prominence as the original story," he added. - GMANews.TV
