Ex-husband of Kuh Ledesma in hold order list

The prime suspect in the March 10 murder of wealthy businessman Federico Delgado has been placed in the Bureau of Immigration’s hold departure list, officials said Tuesday. Immigration Commissioner Alipio Fernandez Jr issued the hold order against Luisito Gonzalez on March 23 upon directives of the department of justice. The immigration bureau is an agency under the justice department. Gonzalez is the victim’s step-brother and the estranged husband of singer Kuh Ledesma. The hold order was necessary "so as not to frustrate the ends of justice and in view of the urgency of the matter," the DOJ directive read. At present, Manila police are on the lookout for Gonzalez whose whereabouts are unknown after checking out of the Makati Medical Center. He had been confined for treatment of depression. The suspect’s family said Gonzalez would soon resurface to answer the charges against him. The family insists the suspect is innocent of the charges. Delgado, scion of one the country’s richest businessman, was killed inside the family-owned Mayflower building on Leon Guinto corner Estrada Streets in Manila’s Malate district. Reports said the victim had a lady companion, identified as Analiza Pesico, when he was attacked by at least two suspects who wore masks. Police are looking at a quarrel over inheritance as possible cause of the killing. Gonzalez, one of four children of Vicky Quirino Gonzalez by her first husband, is said to be depressed since the death of their mother last year. Their mother was the second wife of Delgado’s father. The victim’s father had no child with his second wife, Vicky, but had six in his first marriage. - GMANews.TV
