40º C heat possible in NCR; 43º C temperature eyed in Echague, Isabela

The sweltering heat in Metro Manila in past weeks may get even more uncomfortable on Friday, "feeling" like 40 degrees Celsius in the afternoon.

GMA News' "I M Ready" said that while the forecast maximum temperature for Metro Manila is 35 degrees Celsius, the "init factor" may make it feel like 40º C.

It added the 40-degree Celsius temperature could be felt at about 2 p.m.

Temperatures in Metro Manila may ease to 29º C but feel like 34 degrees Celsius at 8 p.m.

However, "init factor" temperatures could be hotter in other parts of Luzon, including:

- 43 degrees Celsius in Echague, Isabela
- 42 degrees Celsius in Dagupan, Pangasinan
- 41 degrees Celsius in Tuguegarao, Cagayan

Elsewhere in the country, "I M Ready" said the init factor may mean temperatures in the mid- to high-30s in parts of Mindanao, including:

- 37º C in Cotabato
- 37º C in Davao
- 37º C in Cagayan de Oro
- 36º C in Dipolog
- 36º C in Surigao
- 35º C in Nabunturan
- 35º C in General Santos City
- 33º C in Jolo
- 32º C in Zamboanga
