Revilla’s aide Richard Cambe surrenders to Sandiganbayan
By AMANDA FERNANDEZ, GMA News
Richard Cambe, Senator Bong Revilla's staff, turned himself in to the Sandiganbayan Friday afternoon to face graft and plunder charges over his alleged involvement in the P10-B pork barrel scam. This comes mere hours after a warrant for his arrest had been issued by the Sandiganbayan.
Upon his arrival before 2 p.m., Cambe was immediately detained at the anti-graft court's holding center while awaiting the issuance of a commitment order. Such an order will specify where he will be detained.

As of 2:15 p.m., no commitment order has been issued yet.
The camp of lawyer Richard Cambe on Friday asked the Sandiganbayan to have him detained at the Philippine National Police Detention Center.
"He wanted to be detained there because of the sensitivity of the case—it concerns national interest, and for his security," lawyer Remigio Michael Ancheta, counsel of Cambe, told reporters.
Ancheta insisted that Cambe has nothing to do with the scam.
"His identity was used by the perpetrators of PDAF [Priority Development Assistance Fund] scam. The documents were forged. If you compare it with his original signature, the forgery (of his signature in the PDAF scam documents) was very poorly done," Ancheta said.
Earlier on Friday, Associate Justice Efren dela Cruz arrived at the graft court early to sign the warrants against him, Revilla, and 31 other respondents charged with graft and plunder.
As Revilla's chief political officer, Cambe prepared endorsement letters and memoranda of agreement with NGOs linked to businesswoman Janet Lim-Napoles and implementing agencies. He also crafted disbursement reports and at times, according to the indictment, even allowed Napoles' employees to prepare the documents and sign for him. Napoles is allegedly the scam's brains. — With a report from Amita Legaspi/KG/TJD, GMA News
