Fireworks kick off Iglesia Ni Cristo centennial celebration

Fireworks kicked off the centennial celebration of the Iglesia Ni Cristo at the Ciudad de Victoria in Bulacan a few minutes before midnight Saturday.

Members of the religious group cheered as fireworks lit up the area, including the Philippine Arena where the celebration is to be held on Sunday.

A separate report by dzBB's Rodil Vega said bus passengers stuck in traffic along the North Luzon Expressway got off to watch the fireworks.

Meanwhile, the NLEX said that at 3:33 a.m., traffic remained heavy along the northbound lanes in Marilao and Bocaue in Bulacan.
