Thousands remember Jesse Robredo with ‘Tsinelas Walk’ in Naga
A "Tsinelas Walk" and a Mass were among the activities held in Naga City on Monday to mark the second death anniversary of the city's former mayor and Interior Secretary Jesse Robredo.
Some 5,000 people took part in a "Tsinelas Walk" along the streets of Naga City to remember Robredo, GMA Bicol's Mark Bongat tweeted.
Robredo died in a plane crash on Aug. 18, 2012. The plane was bringing him to Naga City from a conference in Cebu when it crashed off Masbate.

Photos posted by Bongat on Instagram showed delegations from schools, carrying placards honoring Robredo, taking part in the walk.
At noon, a Mass was held in Robredo's honor.
On Aug. 26, 2012, Cabinet Secretary Jose Rene Almendras lauded Robredo for his "tsinelas leadership," where he recalled Robredo showing up for a meeting of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council amid habagat (Southwest Monsoon) floods, wearing slippers. —Joel Locsin/NB, GMA News
