Whistleblower reveals photo of Revilla staffer with Napoles employees

Pork scam whistleblower Marina Sula presented a photo in which two figures were encircled: Sula herself and Revilla aide Richard Cambe.
Cambe is a senior member of Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla's staff. Both are charged with plunder and graft for allegedly conspiring with businesswoman Janet Lim-Napoles to divert millions in government funds to bogus NGOs.
In her testimony on Thursday afternoon, Sula, a former employee of Napoles', was asked if she had proof that she knows Cambe.
In response, Sula said she handed Cambe his commission for participating in the pork barrel scam once, in 2010. She also brought out a tablet which contained two pictures from 2011 that showed Cambe attending the birthday party of Napoles’ personal secretary.
“Birthday po yan ng personal assistant ni Madam Janet. Nag-attend siya [Cambe] ng party,” Sula said.
In addition to Sula and Cambe, who is wearing a blue and white striped shirt, whistleblowers Benhur Luy and Merlina Suñas are also shown in the picture.
Thursday was the firt time Sula testified in court, during the bail hearing of Revilla, Cambe and Napoles. During the direct examination conducted by the prosecution panel, Sula revealed that she has been working with Napoles in some capacity since 1997.
In 2003, Napoles allegedly made her president of the Masaganang Ani Para sa Magsasaka Foundation, Inc (MAMPFI).
“Noong 2003, sinabi niya [Napoles] sa akin na gagawa pa siya ng isang NGO at gagawin niya akong presidente. Bibigyan niya daw ako ng chance, parang tulong na rin sa akin,” Sula said, recounting how Napoles pitched the idea to her.
Sula admitted that she accepted the offer since she found her salary from Napoles to be too small to meet all her needs.
“Pumayag akong maging president ng NGO kasi maliit lang naman ang sweldo ko. Kung may bonus o commission, malaking tulong na yun.” she said.
Sula revealed that as a clerk, she only received P6,000 as salary, prior to becoming an NGO president. — BM, GMA News
