Bong Revilla misses freedom, making movies for filmfest
By PATRICIA DENISE CHIU, GMA News
Three months into his detention on a charge that could mean 30 years in prison if he's convicted, Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. on Thursday said he missed life in the outside world—as a senator of the republic and as the star of a fantasy movie in the Metro Manila Filmfest.
"Miss ko yung nasa labas tayo, yung nasa laya tayo, yung trabaho ko bilang senador. Miss ko yung pag gawa n gtelevision [shows,] yung pag gawa pelikula, na may entry tayo sa Metro Manila Film Festival," Revilla told reporters covering his bail hearing at the anti-graft court Sandiganbayan.
Actor-Politician Revilla, who turned 48 on Thursday, is currently detained at the PNP Custodial Center in Camp Crame for his alleged involvement in the multibillion-peso pork barrel scam.
Revilla is accused plunder and multiple counts of graft for supposedly diverting millions of pesos of his Priority Development Assistance Fund allocations to the fake non-government organizations of alleged scam mastermind Janet Lim Napoles.
On his birthday, Revilla said he wished that the Aquino administration would set aside politics to work on nation-building.
"Okay na kami, napakulong na kami, pabayaan niyo na kaming sagutin yung issues na binabato sa amin. Lalabas at lalabas naman ang katotohanan. I just hope, yung wish ko, it's high time isipin [nila] yung kapakanan ng bayan," Revilla said.
He added President Benigno Aquino III should spend his remaining time as Chief Executive to do good for the country.

"Sa 614 days na yan [na natitira kay Aquino sa posisyon] pakita niya yung tunay na malasakit sa taongbayan, hindi lang mag focus sa mga kalaban. Ang dami pa ring problema ng ating mga kababayan," Revilla said.
The senator, who has been in prison for at least three months, said he has forgiven those who have wronged him.
"Yung mga gumawa noon sa akin, pinatawad ko na," he said. —NB, GMA News
