October 31 a working day, says Palace

It's time to give up hopes for a long weekend ahead.

Malacañang on Tuesday ruled out the possibility of President Benigno Aquino III declaring October 31, Friday, as a non-working holiday.

"In response to numerous queries, Executive Secretary [Paquito] Ochoa confirms that Friday, Oct. 31 is a regular working day," Communications Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr. said in a text message to reporters.
