Drug raps filed vs 6 Chinese nabbed in Tarlac raid
Criminal charges were lodged late Friday against six Chinese nationals who were caught in a major drug raid in Tarlac on Thursday that yielded around P3 billion worth of illegal drugs, paraphernalia and equipment.
In its complaint filed with the Department of Justice, the National Bureau of Investigation Anti-Illegal Drugs Unit accused the following suspects for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002:
Sand Chai Wang
Xia Jian Jun
Xu Jian Dong
Hung Zhogjie
Wang Xiao Bing
Zhan Zhi Long
They were charged with violating Section 8 (Manufacture of Damgerous Drugs), Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 12 (Possesion of Paraphernalia for Dangerous Drugs) of the law.
Found during the Tarlac raid were hydrogenerators, specially customized distillation system, cooking tools and equipment in the production of dangerous drugs, as well as 17.0195 kilograms of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu.
Pieces of evidence submitted by the NBI to the DOJ's National Prosecution Service included a joint affidavit of arrest, a search warrant issued by a Manila court, a pre-operation report, coordination letter, inventory of seized items, booking sheet and arrest report, and photographs, among others.
