Kris Aquino gives birth to James Yap Jr

Popular television personality Kris Aquino gave birth to a healthy baby boy, James Jr, on Thursday afternoon, the same day that former President Joseph Estrada marked his 70th birthday. The child's father, James Sr, had to skip a PBA game for the premature birth of the 4.3 pound boy. The report of Kris' birth to James Jr., was confirmed by her husband and basketball star James Yap, and her mother, former President Corazon C. Aquino. Mrs Aquino told reporters that the baby is healthy but small, because he was born weeks ahead of term. Kris was scheduled to give birth May 6 yet, by Caesarean section. "Medyo mahirap pa sabihin kung sino kamukha, baka combination," said Mrs Aquino, who kept watch at the Makati Medical Center where Kris was rushed mid-afternoon after complaining of contractions. The child's father, James, said, "healthy ang baby." James was scheduled to play at a PBA game versus Air21, but "baka hindi na ko pupunta, nagpaalam naman ako." - GMANews.TV
