Erap group proposes 6 issues for Arroyo to meditate on

The camp of former president Joseph Estrada proposes six issues President Gloria Arroyo should meditate on this Holy Week, and for which she should ask for God’s guidance. Former congressman Didagen Dilanganen, Estrada’s spokesman, said Mrs. Arroyo should meditate on the executive order 464, Calibrated Preemptive Response, Proclamation 1017, the poor credit rating of the country; graft and corruption and deteriorating peace and order. Dilanganen said these issues have affected the right of public for free expression. He added that the lives of the Filipino also deteriorated as 75 percent of the population became poorer based on surveys. The EO 464 mandates all government officials, military and police to ask permission first from the President before they could attend any Congressional hearing. The CPR is perceived to be a tool to suppress the street protests while proclamation 1017 was the Malacañang’s order that placed the nation under a state of national rmergency for one week in March. –GMANews.TV
