TIMELINE: The hunt for Marwan and the Mamasapano clash

Different law enforcement agencies in the Philippines have started their investigation on the Philippine National Police-Special Action Force's encounter with Moro groups in Mamasapano town in Maguindanao on January 25 that led to the deaths of 44 elite police officers

The officers were caught in a clash against members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front and Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters in the middle of carrying out arrest warrants against Malaysian bomb maker and Jemaah Islamiyah leader Zulkifli Bin Hir alias Marwan and Filipino bomb maker and Abu Sayyaf member Abdul Basit Usman.

Now, the entire nation is hoping the different investigations can help find the truth and pin down the personalities who are accountable for the bloody "misencounter."

GMA News Online collated statements from different sources to produce an infographic to better understand the events that happened on January 25.
