Valentine's tribute to SAF 44: Poem reading by high school students

A poem-reading will be held in Quezon City on Friday to honor the 44 Special Action Force troopers killed in a clash in Mamasapano in Maguindanao last Jan. 25, the Department of Education said.

 

The DepEd Metro Manila office said the activity in Quezon City will be a "Valentine's Day Tribute to the 44 SAF Heroes."

 

It said the tribute will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Commonwealth High School in Quezon City.

 

One of the activities is a poem “For the Fallen” to be read by selected students.

 

Expected to attend are DepEd Secretary Armin Luistro, Metro Manila head Luz Almeda, DepEd NCR superintendents, heads and representatives; and teachers and students of Commonwealth High School. — Joel Locsin/ELR, GMA News
