Erap wants furlough for son JV’s San Juan nuptial

After at least two furloughs for his mother, detained former President Joseph Estrada requested for another one, this time for his son’s wedding in San Juan. On Tuesday, Estrada asked the Sandiganbayan to allow him to attend the wedding of San Juan Mayor Joseph Victor "JV" Ejercito to beauty titlist Maria Hyacinth "Cindy" Lotuaco. The wedding, originally set at the Ejercito family’s rest house in Tanay, Rizal, was moved to the St. John Baptist Church at Pinaglabanan Street in San Juan on June 9, at 6 p.m. Estrada also asked that he be allowed to attend the wedding reception at the Fort Bonifacio Global City’s’ NBC Tent in Taguig. Estrada said the venue of the wedding ceremony was changed after the court denied to have it held in Tanay. Ejercito is Estrada’s son by former movie actress Guia Gomez. His fiancée, Lotuaco, is second runner-up in the 1995 Miss Interline International beauty contest. JV has a son with another beauty titlist, Maria Patricia "Patty" Betita, named Emilio. The Sandiganbayan had previously allowed the holding of other social events in Tanay, including the celebration of the detained opposition leader's birthday and the victory banquet of Estrada’s eldest son, Sen. Jose "Jinggoy" Estrada, when the latter was elected to the Senate in 2004. - GMANews.TV
